I did one in a apartment parking lot. I had a 92 Ranger. It was fairly easy. the bolts on mine were very stuborn. You also need a huge Torx.. Like a T-55 or T-60 for the bed bolts. A good jack or two with some 4x4 or so blocks of wood to help lift the body. I had bought the stearing extension. Not sure if thats nessesary. I would do it again but I am also broke and 500 is a ton of money. If you did your lift on your cherokee then you can handle this job. You do need to pull up the carpet to get to the tops of the cab bolts. The only issue I had was the fuel filler neck. Mine would leak if I filled the tank full. I never did look into that problem before I traded the truck.

I have done several body lifts to Rangers, before I got smart and joined the Jeep nation.

First, Why?

A small suspension lift for an IFS truck isn't that expensive, or that hard to do. You already have the tools, and the knowledge if you have lifted XJ's.

A body lift is MUCH more likely to shift when you are driving the truck in any kind of off-road situation. Especially during any obsticles that require off-camber, or where the bed is moving at a different rate than the cab.

Plus, unless you plan to make some 'filler' pieces to cover all the gaping holes between the frame and body, they look like trash,IMHO

the kids not really gonna wheel it .. just wants to eventually put some nice classic 2 style rims and some 31s on it. its just mostly for looks. that lift is 250 i see the suspension lifts for them for over a grand.?
