Body armor for the MJ.

I'm trying to find so protective equipment (body armor) for my 91 MJ and am not having a whole lotta luck. I know if I want a brush guard I can get one for Cherokee, but I'm also looking for some rocker panels and a roll bar that strecthes the length of my bed instead of just stopping at the wheelwells. I was wondering if anyone knew a place that had stuff like that, I could order parts from. I've come to the conclusion that the roll bar is gonna have to be custom made, but I was hoping I could get some rocker panels and other body armor for my MJ without have to custom fab. the parts. I don't have the resources nor the skills to customize any of them. I live in Maine so if there is any in Maine that would be even better but I'm not gonna be picky.

Where in Maine are you located? I'm in Connecticut but my wife and I will likely be heading for Maine in a couple or three weeks, for a quick visit.

I don't know of any place that offers rock sliders for the MJ, but since I own so many of them I'm considering using a pair of XJ rock rails as a model and making up a set modified for use with an MJ. If you're interested, we can talk. Is yours a long bed or a short bed?

what do you need rock rails for???

I live in the Rockland - Damriscottia region and have a short bed on my Jeep. I would like to have rock rails to help further protect my Jeep's body. I had some rust repair done on the rocker panels after I bought it and don't want the repair destroyed on the trail.

Wouldn't four door XJ rock rails almost fit the cab and bed on a short bed MJ? Just a thought. You could weld on a little extra stock for more length if you trust your welding.

The rear attachment wouldn't work, and by the time you modify that it would be better to start with rails the correct length.
