Alright, time for a head count.

Michaelle and I are coming up in the motorhome. We're going to be staying in an RV park on North Shore Drive. Should be arriving early Friday afternoon.

My only delemna is which group to hang with.

1. Youz guyz.

2. My other club, The Waywegos, are doing maintanence work on their adopt-a-trail, John Bull.

3. LOST KJ West. Jeff & Denese really want me to join them Saturday.

What to do? What to do?

Ohh, good to hear Jeff is gonna be up there in case any of us get stuck and we need someone to pull us out.

Maybe we'll run into you guys where ever you go.

Man, aren't we demanding :D (Just kidding)

I think the best thing is to meet up at the Big Bear Discovery Center at around 9.30 - 9.45, I'm just too incertian of where the camping will be (I don't know how if the camping will be full).

The Big Bear Discovery Center is on North Shore Drive (Highway 38) between Fawnskin and Stanfield Cutoff.

Basically you'll take I 10 into Redlands, then 330 up to big bear. From there you hit 18, when you get around big bear 18 & 38 split, go 38 (you want to be on the north shore of the lake), once you pass Fawnskin the Discovery Center will be on your left, kinda hard to miss.

If by chance you accidently end up on the South shore of the lake you can take Stanfield Cutoff across the lake, turn left, then the Discover Center will be on the right.

We'll be monitoring CB channel 4, my cell number is 310.621.1634.

I just saw this post. Simple solution, hang out with everybody!

When are your boys doing their maintenance of JB? I was hoping to run it.

Hmm...do you guys have FRS radios or maybe one of those handheld CB's? If not i'll see if I can pick one up on the way out of town tomorrow.

Thanks

Chris

what time are you leaving LA tonight. I ended up at the Angels game last night and totally blew off packing. I do keep the jeep mostly packed but I'll need some time to get everything else together.

Will your friends be showing up?

-Scott

Chris, I have you covered with CB, I've got a few spares that I'll bring along.

Scott, I'm not sure yet when I'll be able to get out, I didn't pack either 'cause I passed out last night, still not at work because I tweaked the hell out of my back and am waiting for the pain to go away. I don't think Janie will be showing...

Not a problem.

Give me a quick call on my cell to let me know what your plans are. It does not look like you'll be rushing to get out of town, and neither will I. I'm pretty tired so i'm just gonna take it easy and get out when I can. Though it would be nice to get to camp, have a few beers and passout.

So, I'm not camping out Friday. It's gone be real late when I get in and I don't really know the area very well. Saturday however I will be camping. Sequoia and Sintax, you're both camping Saturday as well...right?

I get nervous going to California, it always feels like there's a million people no matter how far into the woods you go.

I plan on camping tonight as well as tomorrow night. I'm not feeling the one day camping trips much anymore. They just are a lot of work for one day. We'll be up fairly late and will have cbs/cellphones as well as GPS units. I have a feeling we could get you to where we are at if you REALLY wanted.

-Scott

Matt - Give me a ring when you have a fair idea of when you'll be rolling in, as Scott said there's a good chance you can still drop by the camp site and catch a few hours sleep.

Thanks, If I'll be in town before 10:30 I'll call. If not I'll meet up with everybody in the morning.

I'm concerned if I don't take the one day camping trips it will progress to no days.
