Best Track Bar?

im running a Rustys trac bar, drop bracket and reinforcement bracket also on my 87..only problem i have had to replace the upper bushing due to my power steering get warm and vent out of the cap and drips down onto the bracket and bushing. other that than it has worked good for me. my 96 in running a Teraflex. that one is fine for a low lift. the Teraflex one don't like a lot of lift.

IRO, Clayton, Ironman4x4fab..

I've had the IRO trackbar for about a year now, and really can't say too much about it. Which I LIKE! When I don't have to constantly be messing with something, it's doing it's job.

Built like a tank, never had DW, easy to install and adjust, and cheap. Really can't ask for more. Clayton's design does look solid as well.

It looks like IRO Double Shear is the way to go.
I was considering the RE 1660 TracBar But I cant justify buying the RE1665 in addition.

Unless I am wrong?

You do not have to buy the new mount if you can weld and modify the stock mount.

Its worth it because of the optional brace.

I just installed the IRO double shear. It is a very beefy setup and installed easily. It replaced the RE1600 which constantly was popping when I turned, it only lasted about a year now. Now I will have to see how the IRO holds up over time. From first impressions though I will put a vote in for the IRO double shear.

Ill put in a second word for Kevins off road Trac bar, Had to drill the lower mount holes but it has cured my DW..

And I'll put in a 3rd. I have the trackbar and bracket.

Why No Love for the TNT Track Bars???? Mine is BEEF!!! I love it... I snapped a Rusty's TRE style at 4.5" with a fresh TRE on it!!!! Damn near wrecked...lol

I will get a Froehlich Suspension Track Bar Next... Double Heim goodness, Easier to Adjust, and angle Adjustable! Plus it will match my super beefcake Long arms,

I have XJs with the Clayton's and T&T Customs track-bars and height reduction mounting brackets. Both have performed flawlessly thus far. We upgraded the fasteners and installed braces on the brackets without difficulty. We found that Full Traction makes the best braces for our needs.

Clayton trackbar is by far superior to Rubicon express and all the others I have seen out there. The Johnny joint upper is burly and the factory style lower bushing last forever. Plus the lower bushing can be upgraded to a larger size bolt hole.

For all lifts above 4.5" I like to do a straight trackbar with heims on both ends and over the axle mount. Much better than a bent track bar. You need to be sure it is bumpstopped at shorter lift heights to prevent it from hitting the oil pan at full stuff but you won't likely ever break one.

Far superior? Are you an infomercial ? RE's cartridge is as tough as a JJ, they use the factory style lower bushing and a larger bolt too.

Ironman Fabrication needs a mention. Though he stopped selling these it's still worth a mention.

(Ignore the missing trackbar frame bolt. I wasn't finished)
