Best Stroker Company?

If anyone is considering hesco over the others...... what was it $7000? how bout trying to source a LS1 and a 700R4 and go over to novak adapters.....www.novak-adapt.com they have everything you need to adapt and install a LS1 to a jeep cherokee there they can even flash the computer if I am correct. I just checked the ATK website and that crate engine looks legit but I have read up on golen more. Seems to be a matter of preference but there was some awsome information I just gathered from you guys thanks.

Because by the time you add all that up you are looking at a 10k motor swap. LS1's are sick in XJs but its so mucheasier to drop a stroker in it.

There is a whole lot more work to put a V8 in besides just bolting it in. Especially if you have a 97+ with the gauges tied to the PCM.

Agreed, so the power to price and work ratio is pretty good for a stroker compared to a v8...

Nobody is arguing that a regular old Chevy 350 is better than a stroker or that an LS1 is easier.
If you want 350+ horsepower, you go LSx.
If you want an easy 250 with low-rev grunt or just an easy build, you go stroker.
Hesco is still probably cheaper than an LS swap overall and certainly easier - and they are the price extreme. As many will say, junkyard parts and local long-block work can yield a servicable stroker for dirt cheap.

If you want 350+ horsepower, you go stroker and slap on a supercharger.
That said, I still think LSx swaps are cool but there's a hell of a lot of work involved.
