Best spark plugs for the XJ ?

Im pretty sey on NGK's but all ive found is the V-groove plugs. Havent found platnums tho!!

Splitfire makes platnums now and that might be handy with the upgraded wires, coil and amp box.

Im way confused here!!! (HELP!)

Spark plugs are spark plugs! The only real difference there may be (aside from all of the marketing hype) is how long they will wear and the heat range (which has no bearing on intensity). Assuming they are properly gapped and working with a funtioning ignition, they all will spark and ignite the fuel in the chamber regardless. Boost situations can be an exception though. If your gonna throw down money make it useful, don't waste it on terminal tune up parts.

spark plugs for the XJ NGK pn

For our two 1990 4.0 engines, NGK FR-5 spark plugs. These are v-power, the only NGK plugs I could find. They work great. I also ran Bosch single electrode platinum plugs, with good results. No mileage difference between them in our driving. For our 2001 with 4.0 engine, I just put in NGK ZFR5N plugs, perfect so far. The Champions that came out had served well, and still looked decent with good deposits. Considering that the distributorless ignition fires twice as often, it's doing a lot of sparking.
