Best of the Midwest run - ideas on locations

My my, aren't we touchy. If I lived closer I would go there alot too. I enjoyed it, how did that not come across when we wheeled there together?

Would likely show up to one or more event. I've heard there is a good place in MN but have not been there yet. When I get up there if it's any good I'll post info on it.

There is an awesome place to wheel in MN. Petersens Ultimate adventure stopped by the Iron Range Off-Road park on their 2004 Ultimate Adventure. You can check out their comments in the 2nd part of the article. Or you can check out pictures on NSW 4x4 MN-Jeep . There is something for everyone, mud, rocks, hill-climbs and even rocky hill-climbs. There are trails for stock rigs and rigs on 40's and everything in between. The Third saturday in may the park is open for free, otherwise it is $38.50 for a 3 year pass.

Has anyone considered FlatNasty Offroad Park for an event?

I spoke with the owner yesterday and he mentioned sending an e-mail to someone here about this idea, but never heard anything back.

You should seriously check it out as an option. I guarantee y'all would have a great time there!!!

no parks and miles of open trails, and miles and miles I would join in a run but the CJ is a semi permanent garage ornament which leaves the XJ the daily driver, can't break it acording to the Missus.

I would add Turkey Bay in LBL(W. Kentucky) but I don't think it's hard core enough(for me I love it), although there are some crazy hill climbs I'd love to see people try!

by the way, ill put flat nasty upagainst anything you can find! this is one bad park the trails are rated on body damage not toughness!

I would rate FlatNasty's trails as some of the hardest I have ever seen. There are some obstacles that stop the toughest rigs (including the buggies )

I would put it right up there with Badlands...

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone with the owner, Ron Maximoff (Incidently, a week after talking to him I saw his rig while paging through an old Peterson's).
He is a rockcrawl competitor so obviously there are lots of rock sections but, with 800 acres, he assured me there is plenty for all build levels.
