LOL!!! Back in the late '70s or very early '80s Wendy's (hamburgers) had a contest to win that Tattoo mini car and my friend actually won it. We promptly removed the roof & body and proceeded to thrash that thing around the neighborhood ..... good times.

Did some googling....... Does September 1979 sound about right? I found an article in a Salina Kansas newspaper announcing the winner for the Tattoo Island Car. Another earlier article announced the contest and that "participating restaurants" all had cars to give away.

I've met people who are delusional enough to think that they'll get out of a project what they put in it... :looser:

I'd say that if it's in decent shape and everything is running fine you could knock the "1" off the top and that's what it would be worth.

me too, though I suspect he will eventually get more for it than any of the sane minds around here would think reasonable. Craigslist is full of the deluded, on both sides of the transactions.

The original owner sold it to a friend, and it appears that friend is now selling it as well.

It's been on the book of faces, with the friend (aka newer owner) showing videos of it driving.

Guess they want it gone now too?
