That's ****ed up.

I did. ROR. And Yells's right, the only willys even I could drive comfortably - and I'm only 5'10' - was one with be seat moved back a foot into the back seat area. WWII soldiers like my old man (6'2") must have folded themselves in two...

Did some googling....... Does September 1979 sound about right? I found an article in a Salina Kansas newspaper announcing the winner for the Tattoo Island Car. Another earlier article announced the contest and that "participating restaurants" all had cars to give away.

Salina, Kansas Wendy's Old Fashioned Hamburger Proudly Announces... The Winner of Wendy's Fantasy Island Tattoo Mini-Car Sweepstakes The lucky winner, Mrs. Nellie Massey of 1301 Roach, Salina, and her family receive a replica of the car Tattoo drives on the popular Fantasy Island TV series. Wendy's assistant manager Marcy McClain was on hand, to present the colorful prize. The winning name was drawn from thousands of entries on September 15 with Mayor Karen Graves doing the honors.

Hilarious!

just deluded, it is a perpetual for sale ad... I somewhat suspect its one of those promised-the-wife-he'd-sell-doesn't-want-to overpriced things... "damn, honey, just can't get it sold", ya know?

I've met people who are delusional enough to think that they'll get out of a project what they put in it... :looser:

I'd say that if it's in decent shape and everything is running fine you could knock the "1" off the top and that's what it would be worth.

me too, though I suspect he will eventually get more for it than any of the sane minds around here would think reasonable. Craigslist is full of the deluded, on both sides of the transactions.

oh, I like the new guy -- quoting Mencken... we're going to get along just FINE!

Democracy is the theory that the common people know what they want, and deserve to get it good and hard. ~ H.L. Mencken
