That's funny that you tried to email him....if people don't post a phone number in their ad I don't even try to email the seller I just keep looking.

I thought about calling, or texting, but pictures on my flip phone don't show much.

I specifically dont put my phone number in ads so that I dont get random texts or calls at all hours. I like to screen the crazys and spam via email before giving out phone number.

$400 seems fair, plenty of parts. If you needed a good engine $400 is reasonable. If I didn't have so much on my plate I would be interested in it for a parts jeep.

That's assume the engine is still any good, and that the interior isn't trashed.

Looks to be pretty much anything external is SOL.

That's my thought, from that picture there I would pass it up for $400. I suppose the 4.0 could be worth $400 if it were in good shape. From my perspective, I'd have to pay $400 and pull the motor, then spend money trying to get rid of the junk. And I run a tow company, so getting rid of junk is a big part of my job...

EDIT: I have gotten rid of much nicer XJs than this one for $100, simply because I haven't been able to find buyers for them. People go "Woah, no key, no title? Nope!" Now that I own an XJ, I tend to keep the wrecked ones around a little longer.

Me too! The flares might look better body colored but that color is one of those colors that looks better with some black to break it up a little.
