bent alumiflex tierod

just bought a hysteer kit and its got a bent alumiflex tie rod, nothing too bent. i want it straight as new how whold you guys do this?

replace it with some 1.25"/1.5" DOM

i dont wanna bust my teraknuckle. thats why i wanna keep the flex.


i was thinkin shop vise and many clamping/unclmpings and some hammertime.

How are you going to bust the knuckle?

Tera Knuckle, 1.25" DOM. Can't say I am worried about the knuckle breaking.

Straighten it? Um, got a tube bender?

nah i sure dont. i think theres one on the military base im at though that i can use.

If it's a slight bend, that should do it. Otherwise you will start to put a dimple in it.

Forget it. Once it is bent it has a weak spot in it and it will bend again and again. You need to replace it.

if thats the way you received it then call the place you ordered it from and get it replaced.install it till you get the new one .if its a slight bend it won't hurt anything.chances are the first time you go out you will catch it on something and bend it anyway.

i found out the hard way that the alumi-bars sold with the Tera knuckle is not true alumi-flex bars and do not return back to straight as good as they should
