Hey Andy,

Yeah I got it, just haven't had a chance to respond yet. It's been a long day at work. :( I'm gettin' ready to e-mail ya back...

i think there is a Best Western at the Burger King, thats is where i'll be staying.

GM am i right about that being hwy 515?

Yep! Can't wait,either! I still haven't fixed my axle u-joint yet,though. I guess I'll just procrastinate until the 5th and thrash to get it together,as usual. God I'm slack!

Hey Mark, have you check out the "Worst mod" thread on the Non-tech board? If you haven't,you need to! Check it out!

Woo whoo!

Me too! It's been way too long! I just got my Rusty's long arms on, front u-joints replaced, and longer brake lines. Andy's going to help me install my gears and lockers on the 29th.

Yeh I looked at it .
I thought about putting something on there
about not going to long arms first.

I thought your snorkel looked cool,
I could pick you out a mile away.
and I think your bumper is cool too.
It's definetly different.
If you change it though, I personally
would try to shorten it for more clearance
in front.

Ps: Snuffeluppigus was the (Wooly Mamoth Elephant) Looking
thing on Sesame Street. I cant believe you dont know what
they're talking about.

how hard is beasley? i've been there once before when i was open and on 35's, i've been workin on the heep every day lately just fixin little stuff that needs to be fixed. anyway, just wondering if i could still have some fun there? ga mike, you met me at crawfords once i think, i'm the guy with the orange xj on 37's. let me konw ya'll. thanks!

Beasley is badass. Trail 233 is one of the baddest ass trails around, that and rattlesnake but rattlesnake has an easy by pass route to the right that a stocker could take. I have been down trail 233, I wont even attept goin up it untill I get a winch!Trail 230 and 231 are fun as well. Depending on what kind of XJs are goin yall might have to be pulling each other quite a bit, also beasley gets really really slick if its wet up there. Yall will have a good time, to bad I cant make it!

Beasley's pretty tame except for 233/Rattlesnake hill. They closed off the uppermost part of Rattlesnake for "Environmental regrowth" purposes, but it's still definately worth the trip from Athens. You should come! You had the XJ w/the SJ drivetrain, right? I could be mistaking you for someone else, though. Heck,if we've met,I'll remember ya when you get there!:D Hope to see you all there bright(hopefully  ) and early! 7 days to go!!!!!!

P.S.-I did get off my arse on Wednesday and put in the new u-joint:rolleyes: )

i broke my front bumper the rest of the way sat in URE, and temp fix today, i see that you fixed it so you can lead us to glory on the 6th.

who all is going to make it?

You know I'll be there!!

Just as a side note,I discovered some more lingering after-effects from Tellico today. I drove the Jeep to take off the trash (the first time I've really driven it since Tellico) and noticed my steering was FUBAR'd. WTF??? Seems like the problems I'd been having on the trail the last few times out with the steering getting heavy and the pump getting loud after only a few minutes on the trails was the power steering pump going out on me:rolleyes: I pulled the cap off and the fluid was c-o-o-k-e-d!! So,I pulled it off, drained it,and spun the pully. It was like nothing at all was inside  So,I just had to drop $85 on a replacement at Auto Zone. I had to buy a pully remover, too,'cause the one they loan out was--you guessed it--loaned out:mad: Anyway, she'll be back together tomorrow and I'll drive it around this week for a shake down before hitting the trails on Saturday. See ya'll there!!

I'll be there. I just got my lockrites and 4.56s installed thanks to Andy. This will be my 1st time offroad with lockers, not to mention longarms. :D

Andy's the MAN! He's saved me some serious $$ on numerous occasions, and all I've ever been able to do for him in return was give him some wire to wire up his rear winch mount:rolleyes: I'll repay the favors one day, though,I promise!

BTW-you're gonna love being locked F&R! There's so much more control offroad that it's not even funny!!!! I just gotta get off my arse and buy some gears, that is if I decide to stay with these axles.

Yeah, Andy definitely knows his stuff! It's nice to wheel with such a capable mechanic.

I'm so pumped about being locked f/r, just a little nervous how the D30 is gonna hold up. I've always wanted to be more of a finesse driver, but it's hard with open diffs in our terrain. I'm hoping the lockers and gears will help me to be less dependent on the go pedal.
