...I know this is last minute but I just remembered it's tonight...

Hey folks,

Only a couple days away from an opportunity to get together with some new
wheelin buddies and to begin to lay the foundation for the first, real
deal, Bay Area FOTR meeting.

I found what looks like a pretty cool little brew pub in Oakland. The
Pacific Coast Brewing Co. Take a look at their website if you want to see
what they have going on. http://www.pacificcoastbrewing.com/

Address/Phone:
Pacific Coast Brewing Co.
906 Washington St.
Oakland, California 94607
510/ 836-2739

I'm assuming that you won't ALL be able to make it, but I really would like
to see as many of you as possible. We may very well end up having meetings
in multiple locations across the Bay Area to make it as easy as possible
for you to attend regular meetings.

Though this is a social introduction, I do want to get this rolling with as
much feedback from you guys as possible. Please come with an idea or two
on the following agenda...

> Introductions
> Your expectations
> Next meeting time/location.

Please let me know if you have any questions. I'd recommend calling for
directions or using Yahoo Maps for point-to-point driving directions.

Regards,
Josh

...we'll be meeting at 7:30 if anyone is interested.

Hey, this sounds like a great idea!

Unfortunately the date didn't work for me, but I'll plan on the next one.

Jes, let me know if I can help. How many bay area members do we have?

Very good group tonight! About 12 or 13 showed up but there's probably over 30 bay area people involved with FOTR.
Josh Covington(JoshC) is our local head honcho and will be in direct contact with Del Albright with our local concerns and ideas.
Basically tonight we just introduced ourselves and discussed some ideas about how to best use our time to help keep the Rubicon and other OHV trails open.
Also, Keith(RCKRATS) of Four Dice Four Wheel Drive club showed up to show his support. He, along with the help from his club, have put on the Fordyce cleanup for the past two years.
If you're not on the FOTR mailing list and want to participate go here... http://www.friendsoftherubicon.com/ ...lots of good information on the site.
