AwesomeXJ late model build

So I've been searching the webs and planning my build.
I recently discovered that dirt bound offroad (naxja sponsor) has layaway. So since I can layaway discounted parts for my build, I'll be getting most of my stuff from them.

The plan has changed a bit. I'm going to get 4.56 gears f/r and keep the 8.25 for now. But the first thing I'll be ordering is the extreame winch bumper DIY kit. Since it will give me not only the bumper I want but the recovery points I need. And the welders at work will burn it up for me for free.

Then I'll go for the sye, frame stiffeners and steel wheels. And so on.

I'm gonna be doing mechanical stuff to it in the mean time. Get the cooling system up to date, put on a new exhaust manafold and run down some misc sensors and such.

I'm told with proper gearing I will love the 5spd...... I guess I'll find out if that's true. LOL

So that's where my mind is at today. It may change tomorrow....lol

Re: Re: AwesomeXJ late model build

Yesterday you were wanting to sell it? You change your mind more than a woman changes clothes!

LOL.......
If I sold it I would just pick up another late model but with auto. But I'm not selling it for less than $2500 and I'm not putting it on CL. Sooooooo........... Ya.

So even if I stock pile parts for my build then sell it I still have parts for whatever late model I replace it with.

You can't gear a 30 deeper than 4.88.

So, I went ahead and started on the layaway for my 4.56 gears from dirt bound offroad. 5 more payments and I'll be good to go.

a 4:1 tcase really makes a manual trans more enjoyable. 4.56's wont help much in that department unless you're on 31's.

So I contacted Dirt Bound Off road today and transfered the $$ from my gears to a full SYE kit.

I figured keeping my shaft from falling out ever time I super flexd was more important.

WISE CHOICE!!
Whats you're plan for a drive line now?
