I think a little more prudence on the part of the manufacturer is in order. Hard to typo something like, "We got in the first batch and we're test-fitting to make sure they work. We ran into a slight fit issue on the test vehicle, so we're making sure it's not just a fluke. Thanks for your patience."

But they said they're having fitment issues with an 8.25 on a 99 TJ. The TJ never came with an 8.25.

Thanks for clearing that up Cal. But you gotta admit that it seemed a little fishy. First they talk about a TJ with an 8.25. Then when someone calls them on it, the whole thread disappears.

I was at Mike-G's fixing his brakes. Last JV event, I went to move his jeep and hit Santa head on they were so bad.
I was able to read and reply to PM's from my cell phone, but its somewhat limited and won't operate the drop down menu for thread management.

so can one just use the 27 spline housing, throw in a 29 spline aussie and 29 spline shafts and call it good with a 29 spline 8.25 or is there more to do? Sorry my dd xj had a d35 and I got a deal on a d44 so now I have a desert rig with an 8.25 im in the dark...

You need the 29 spline carrier, or to machine the shit out of your 27 spline carrier. The spiders/locker won't fit the recess in the 27 spline carrier, and IIRC the shafts wont fit either.
