So are they trying to say that aftermarket 29 spline axle shafts won't work with stock 29 spline carriers?

I smell something...

Yup. After years of research and development, it appears someone based the entire prouction run on an aftermarket axleshaft...or they completely messed up on that part, too.

Either way, the locker installs nicely. It just has minor issues with fitment of the axleshafts. It's 98% of the way usable..right?

Guy's this was my jeep. The parts were made to match closely to the splined shafts purchesed through crown. It was assumed that crown distributed OEM chrysler parts, it turned out that the crown axles were made slightly different, most likely to ensure they would always work when installed. 30 degree spline vs 37.5 on the chrysler axles. They are making a new broach. I have been told we hope to retry the test install in around 6 weeks or so.
Everything else was good. It was expected that the issue would be fitment in the carrier which actually went very well, once the spline issue is taken care of they will be good to go.

Why would a company as large as Aussie skimp out and buy cheap parts they are unsure of?

Hope this comes out soon for your guy's sake. I didn't feel like waiting and bought the tried and true no-slip to throw in when I get my gears installed. Can't wait!
