Aussie Locker coming for the 8.25

A buddy of mine wheels a liberty. Well I take that back, he abuses a liberty. I wish I had pictures, it's a mess. But it's "Trail Rated"!

HAHAHAHA "trail rated" my buddie got his stuck in a puddle.
not really but not trail rated either.

I have the same feelings about the direction of Jeep...

BUT with my 6.5in lift 33in tires, and more mods than I can list here right now, I still had a (Stock) Wrangler owner look at my Jeep and say "thats not a real Jeep"... and he was serious, he said some Shiet about a frame and roll bar...

its all a matter of perspective I guess

only $60 more than the others...not bad...

now where's that "add to cart" button :)

Yep went outside and verified it, the sky is not falling. Now the cart button.. I say 1 year until it shows up.:laugh3: Gonna have to check it at 12:01 am tomorrow and see if it is there, could officially go on sale then??

EDIT:

[email protected]
We have two installs scheduled for this weekend. Assuming we have no unexpected issues with the installations we will activate the Buy Button either late Sunday or first things Monday morning EST.
Thank you for your patience

We have two test installs set up for Saturday and Sunday. We will not activate the Buy Button until we have completed those installs and identified any issues. Assuming we will not run into any problems we will activate the ordering either late Sunday or early Monday morning EST.

We appreciate everyones patience and apologize for the long development and manufacturing delay.

So they've done no long-term testing and you guys still want to be one of the first to get one??? They said themselves that they don't know if there'll be any issues.

I said early on in this thread that I wouldn't want to have one of the first-run units in my Jeep. I'm not willing to be their guinea pig. But I might get one a couple years down the road (if I still had an 8.25).

I can't imagine it being too much differant then the 27 spline. Just had to modify the same design to fit right? When I have money saved up this will be the locker I get. I hear alot of good things about aussie's quality in my local club.

The operation of the unit hasn't changed; only the fitment. If there aren't any issues after they do the test install(s) then why would something arise later on?

It's still an Aussie, and still has a warranty. I can't wait until I get mine. :D

But they don't make one for the 27-spline. This is a whole new animal.

Don't get me wrong. I hope Aussie's 29-spline 8.25 locker comes out soon and that it is what everyone hopes it is.

But I'm just not jumping on the Aussie bandwagon.

does any one know if this locker will work with my 3:55 and still work after i regear, or do i need a new locker when i do that. i seen some lockers only work with up to a certain gear ratio. when i regear i will go at least 4:10 probable deeper.

There is no gear break on the C8.25 - at least there's not one in gear ranges we see. There is a 2.xx carrier break, but since the highest gear in a Cherokee C8.25 is 3.07...it's a moot point.
