Next time he goes off, lock yourself in the room. Get him pissed off enough to bust in the door. Two to the body, one to the head. Self defense:firedevil
Yeah killin people ain't good regardless of what Washington thinks. Just get out.

chances are if your roommate is going in your room and your doggy is a pup...it's probably whimpering and yapping house broken or not I have yet to meet a dog that will sit quite in a dog kennel all day unless it's vocals have been removed. In that instance just put the damn thing out in the backyard with some food and water. I used to work at a dog/cat/bird kennel and I know for a fact that your roomie isn't just being an ass about putting the dog out dogs can get really effing irritating when they cry in a cage.

My dog will sit in her kennel all day long w/out whining and hold it until I let her out and she's the same age as this guy's dog. 8 months. The roommate is an asshat, and you don't know a lot about dogs. A dog in solitary and a dog in a kennel w/ a million other animals is probably going to be pretty vocal. Not a good analogy there drizzle.

All I have to say is if that was my roomate and he threatend me and touched my dog he would have had my 9mm to his temple. Then I would be saying to him "Ah-ah, I know what you're thinking punk. You're thinking did he fire six shots or only 5. And to tell you the truth I've forgotten myself in all this excitement. But being this is a 9mm - one of the most powerful hand guns in the world and will blow your head clean off, you've got to ask yourself a question--Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya punk!" Its one thing to threaten it a total different thing to touch my dog. No one harms one of my dogs.

You're just upset that you don't get the reference. Isn't that right, Dirty Ramsey?

sure i get it

In this situation right and wrong don't enter into the equation. You're taking the path of least resistance and that is the right thing to do. Just play it safe until you have your freedom.

She really does sit quietly in her kennel all day. She is 100% house broken. He just knows that dog is like my child and putting it outside is pissing me off. He also knows that I cant physically stop him from putting her outside since he is so much bigger than me, and he has tried to use that against me.

There is a right and a wrong way to go about things and using physical force to get someone to comply with your demands doesnt work near as well out of junior high.

Damn, is this thread still going? Haven't you shot him and buried the body yet?

:D

I do know a lot about dogs...I worked at a dog kennel for quite a long time when I was 13 until I was legal age to work at a real tax paying work place. I've owned plenty of "good dogs' and trained them all the same, keeping a dog in a cage all day is cruel whether they are quiet or not. If you can't give it the proper freedom don't own a dog bottom line. I get the opportunities to own free animals left and right...good ones at that, hell in the last month i've been offered two different siamese cats, a blue pit bull(if you even know what that is), and a chihuahua(like I would want one...). But because I live in an apartment now and have no place to let it run and do it's thing, I have turned all those down, and believe me I would love to have a blue pit bull...I used to own a blue doberman imported from australia, along with a cinnamon and a black. most dogs do get quiet in a dog cage after they realize theres no hope...but for a period of time they aren't especially once they get attatched to their owners and then you leave them. maybe your dog owning experience is short doug(haha no pun intended) and thats why you haven't come about the experience of owning a dog that whines in a cage. Or maybe your dog just doesn't miss you when you leave. also...how do you know it doesn't whine if your not there to watch it and your roomie is. something sounds fishy about your original statements, maybe he is on roids but why would he put your dog outside if it's all perfect in the cage?

also, I think I would just say "listen asshat, don't touch my fcking dog again, I'm serious, if you don't like it tough...if you want to kick my ass, go ahead, i'll have your ass in court so fast it will make your head spin and no amount of steroids will stop the judge from putting you in jail and making you someones bitch, and if they don't do that i'll sue you for every penny you ever thought you had, don't fck with me"

then just leave it at that, if you get your ass kicked, well be ready for it I guess maybe have a witness with you when you tell him. And maybe he will respect you more for standing up to him, who knows but if your dog is like your child you would have ripped his head off already no matter what size he is.

That must be why my dogs always loved sleeping in the cage while they were being house broken. It gives them a sense of safety. You obviously have no clue.

Let it run and do it's thing? I hope you're not meaning let the dog run free without any restrictions, like a fence. If that's the case you're a bigger retard than what I orginally thought. Kenneling a dog all day is not cruel. My dog is trained and is also in training now for Search and Recovery. She's very well mannered and does what she's told, but without any supervision, she will eat everything in my house. It's in my best interest and especially hers to be in a big comfortable kennel/cage during the day so she can't do something to my house or most importantly, get ahold of something that could hurt her, or choke her or god knows what else. I also can't leave her outside during the day. Who knows what asshat will come along and steal her or hurt her or whatever.

As far as what goes on during the day, I can't say for sure what goes on or if she whines, but she looks like she'd been resting all day when I get home, and when I put her in there she never utters a peep. Every dog is different. Either way...the point is. The roid rager should leave the dudes dog alone. It's not his. Don't mess with it.

I think that's the most reasonable thing you've ever said.

Your definition of a "good dog" and our definition of a good dog are proabably not the same...

:dunno:
