Asshat roommate

So one of my roommates has decided he doesnt want my dog in the house anymore. Its a 8 month old chocolate lab. Fully house trained. It gets bathed more in one week than all of my roommates combined. Anyway, one of them is a steroid injected hothead that thinks he can push people around by intimidating them. He actually threatened to "whip my ass" tonight when I told him that it says in the lease were allowed a dog in the house and my dog is staying in the house. Every time I leave to go somewhere he comes in my room, takes her out of the kennel and puts her in the back yard with no food or water. Im trying to be the mature one here and handle this appropriately but he has become very childish about it. I cant get out of my lease till December. Any ideas?

I would atleast make it clear if your roomate is going to put your dog in the back yard to make sure he atleast gives it some water and food. If he fails to do so tie his ass up and deprive him of water for about 5days...should make for a nice lesson in character building.

You can take these steps in most any order since your roomie is being unreasonable and you have attempted communication. Heck, you can just jump to step three if you want.

One, make sure he has been told not to remove your dog from your room except in an emergency.
Two, next time he does so, call the police and get them involved (trespassing)...Be sure to note to them the proposed threat on your being, and your concern about the dogs welfare.
Three...If you signed the lease, there is usually an escape clause in it, like loosing your deposit. If you are subleting from this bozo, just pack your crap and leave; which is likely the result he wants anyway.
Either way, contact the Landlord and explain to them that the reason you are moving is because your "room mate" will not allow you to use the property as described in the lease; make note of the police calls if you made them. Most Landlords will allow you some leaway in such cases.

Yeah call the cops, they'll fix it. Get it on video too for proof. If you want to nail his ass tell the cop you want to press charges for these multiple wanton acts or they can think of something to charge him with. He has already put you in the favored position by acting in a malicious way. Play the 'powerless' fella and everything will be alright. :bawl: If you can manage to get him beating your ass on video...he'll definately be going to the booty house.

well, heres the update:

The 6'5 260 lb steroid eating football player roommate of mine lost it when I told him to f*** off (bad idea). He was saying his girlfriends maltese is allowed in here whenever she comes over and I thoroughly disagreed. If my dog goes outside, NOBODYS dog is allowed in here. He said i needed to quit crying or do something about it. So i told him what i thought from the comfort of the other side of a seriously thin locked door. He proceeded to shoulder the door until the hinges were moving in the door frame. My room has a tiny window behind my computer desk and its a corner room so I had no escape. I grabbed my little 9mm and crouched down in the corner and told him how badly i did NOT want him to come through that door. I informed him I had a gun, my level of preparedness, and reminded him that I was cornered. This guy really does scare the shit out of me when he gets jacked up on 'roids.

The pounding stopped.

This has gotten ridiculous. Im going to the rental company tomorrow and informing them of the level of illegal activity in my house on a regular basis (parties with 250+ people and lots of minors, other pothead roomate. etc)
