anyone need parts rig?

Yikes. Long drive to get it too.

It'd be nice to have all those Laredo parts/trim and what not...... but not for $350......

Not the first time I've seen these pictures. I'm guessing crusher price to haul it away would be enough...maybe too generous. I think it has sat through the winter.

Fortunately, I have been blessed with too many projects. I'll live another day without another heep. I've made it this far.

Ya know, if that thing had Scooby-Doo seat covers, I'd be thinking about it. LOL

Apparently not enough...... I was up in Boulder today snagging a CLEAN '87 from the original owner for a paltry $400 :D and since I was gonna be about as close to Lyons as I was gonna be anytime soon, I sent him an e-mail to call me ........

He never called, but when I got home he'd left an e-mail saying he wouldn't budge from that $350. He doesn't seem very motivated anyway..... I'd asked a bunch of questions about it and he didn't answer a one of 'em.

Oh well. He'll probably let it sit there for years with a pine tree growing up thru the hood....... :D

Here's a night shot:

It needs a BA 10 5-speed. The input shaft main bearing and 1-2 synchros are bad. Otherwise it's about as clean as I've seen one. 143K miles, very rust free and straight. The seats are in amazing shape - not one tear, crack or flaw. The owner had it for 17 or so years and had a huge file of dealer service invoices for all the work done to it over the years - nearly $2000 in clutch, exhaust, tune up, tilt column and other small things done over this past year. It passed emissions last July with very low numbers. Drove real nice other than the transmission noises. The owner wanted to keep the tires/wheels as he'd just bought 'em and his replacement '00 XJ has garbage highway tires. I've got a nice set of '96 Classic Ecco's to put on it.

Wow, that does look nice!

Just Sunday one of my coworkers was commenting on needing another vehicle, but he needs to stay under $1000. He used to drive an '85 (I think) with the V-6. Said he really liked it.
