Anybody lives close to strawberry, kubyrz ?

Hi,

I am going to try my new tires in the snow at the beginning of Strawberry trail, close to Kyburz. I am going to play it safe, but who knows.
Are there any good Samaritans close by to give a pull in case of any trouble ?

Iron Mountain Road (just past sly park lake in Pollock Pines, hang a left) is where you'll find a lot of rigs jackassing around in the snow. Never play in the snow alone, Jedi.

Actually, I've tried to get there last Sunday. Got almost there, was stopped probably 1000 feet from the bridge. Some guy managed to make a huge accident and kill himself or somebody else. Just saw somebody being recicitated on the ground. Spent a couple of hours in the jam, turned around, tried to find some other spot to wheel a bit unsuccessfully and had to drive home.

3 hours one way. That sucks a lot, but not nearly as much as for those actually involved in the accident. If my wife did not want to get her "something to drink" and if I did not turn at the wrong spot it could have been us.

Yeah, it was a pretty nasty three car accident, two hit head to head and the other was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. One woman died from what I read in the paper today.
