Background; Waggy axles, custom longarms (lowers with JJs at both ends, upper with heims at both ends), 4.88 gears, rear welded, front lockright, and 35" BFG MTs.
Been breaking in the gears and got on the highway for the first time today. Since I have no rubber in the front suspension, I get some noises over rough roads, no problem. At 65 on the highway it was great. Better then the old 5" lift with appropriate short arms. I did a driveway alignment and have no steering stablizer and no swaybar. I could not believe how well it tracked, no bumpsteer, no wobbles or shimmys. I may setup a swaybar in the future, or maybe not. At 65 MPH, I was running about 2150 rpm with the AW4 in OD, I was somewhat suprised by this, I thought the RPMs would be higher.
So overall I am very happy with the road handling of my "Trail rig". I have a few things to finish before I can get it on the trail. Unfortunately, since I'm still unemployed, I can not spend another dime on it.
