Another new guy

Hello all,

I been having problems with DW and haven't been able to pin point the problem. I didn't want to introduce myself until I had figured out the problem and had something to show you guys, but unfortunatelly it didn't work out that way.
I actually have a question that is of more urgency than finding the problem on my XJ. I've read a lot of your threads and a lot of them are about trips to the Big Bear area, which made me wonder, does anyone out there have any maps of trails in the area (Big Bear). Im looking for light off-road action to test some company cars. Mostly dirt and sand trails. I would sure appreciate any help I can get. Thank you.

They cover the trails and their expected difficulty. Also it'd help us to know what vehicles are you talking about and what is the ultimate goal behind the tests

Also down south in Anza Borego there is some nice areas to take less capable vehicles out and all over Mojave Desert there are easier and harder trails (I'm very partial to the old mine district in the Joshua Tree neighbourhood).

I have to test some Lexus and Toyota products. Just want to see how they compare to competion in some light "offroad", keeping in mind that most Lexus and high-end Toyota SUV owner will never take their vehicles to their limits. But, still like to know what the vehicle is capable of.

Hmmm yeah... then mojave, big bear, anza borego.... you might even want to consider Hungry Valley

Try some of the OHV areas, Staddard Valley, Johnson Valley, Rasor. They have graded access roads and then everything from mild to wild. Try it in the summer that way you can test the AC and cooling systems too.
