Anderson 4x4 Jamboree

No, not you. The OTHER mike. But your answer serves just as well. I'll be there on Saturday as well. I can't decide if I want to pay the 40 bucks to bring myself and one other person in with my Jeep and coolers (Is that right?) and all or just pay 24 bucks and leave the Jeep in the parking lot. Seems like simply being able to bring the Jeep inside to chill at is worth the extra few bucks... Does the $45 registration fee included the driver and one passenger?

Edit: Here bees the scedumule. http://67.225.135.158/files/events/2008_Anderson_Schedule_online_2.pdf

12 bucks per head to walk in with NO cooler. (You'll make up the difference buying drinks and food) On top of that you have to pay to park in the parking lot.

42 bucks for driver and one rider to DRIVE in with your coolers and grille and whatever.

I JUST called and registered! If you plan to Register you must do so tonight or tomorrow by lunch time. The online registration is closed for this event and it must be done by phone.

Call - 1-317-236-6515 ext: 3 then press *

Still not a deal. I'm sittin' this one out. Looks like it's a Kenny Chesney concert for me, lol.

So what you're saying is that if you walk up with a cooler in-hand, they are going to charge a double admission fee? What kind of crap is that? I may be going to the NHRA Nationals @ Atlanta Dragway instead. It's a heck of a lot closer, and they don't charge extra for bringing a cooler :sure:

I'm saying that general admission doesn't allow coolers. Or so I was told. I could be wrong.

If you pay to ride in then you bring in what you want and don't have to pay for parking.
It just makes more sense that way. Especially if you plan to go both days and have to pay for 2 people. General Admission alone for 2 people for 2 days is 48 bucks and you still have to pay to park and can't bring your own shit in.

Hmmm...wonder if I can finish building my new front axle & have it back in before Saturday.......

It would look awfully silly to park the wife's Mazda 3 in the show-n-shine area :looser:

well if you do get a chance to come to the Jamboree, look me up at the Tech inspection tent,,, and also our club will have a tent set up Trick "N" Traction 4x club...
when i left today , there was already 3 Monster trucks showing up and also some Show rigs...

Meh, I wasn't too impressed. The only thing I got out of the trip was a sunburn and seeing Mike again.

There were maybe 3 other XJs there. Bcktracker's, Mine, one chopped up white one and a kinda sorta Jeepspeed XJ. He managed to roll the JS XJ in the cute lil 'tough' truck challenge.

And a couple of the obligatory booty fab shots:
