All Things Guns

Where did you purchase your bipod at? I am considering picking on up like that.
I bought the bipod on my R700 at WalMart. It's Champion brand. Very much like the Harris brand, just a lot cheaper. They can be had for around $40 pretty much all over. Looks like John's is pretty much the same thing.

I have 100 rounds of .308 ammo that I would let go cheap as I no longer have a .308. 150 grain bullet with 3 50 round plastic ammo cases. These are home loaded. Also have 50 rounds of shot brass if who ever would be interested in buying the ammo can have if he/she reloads as well.

I have a Savage 17 with the accutrigger. I hate the feel of the system, but I like how it works. Shoots much better than anyone could ever expect for a $120 gun off the discount rack at GM.

I should have gone to Big R before the range today. I missed a few boxes of 22lr. by about half an hour. I'm down to a couple small boxes of CCI Stinger and some leftover skanky Remington Golden Bullet. Big R did have a bunch of 9mm, .45ACP,.223 and 7.62x39 in stock. So maybe the crap is starting to abate.

I'd be interested in the brass. My buddy has a .308 and I'm getting into reloading. Hit me up back channel to talk turkey.
I have an extra lower parts kit, but not an extra lower
Oh yeah? What's the story?

Just got done w this

It means i need another lower, if prices come back down I will be stocking up on lowers for the next time the idiot try's to pull some shit w the 2nd. I should be able to double my money.

For concealed carry Taurus makes a mellinium pro 45 auto that is very small with a big punch. Only trouble is ramp is steep so some hollow points don't shoot we'll. but who cares. It is a 45:skull2::skull2:

Springfield makes a smaller one and its still .45 and it shoots hollow points no matter what! :D

I was hoping that meant you were looking to unload a LPK. :D Oh well. With the prices people were asking for lowers, it could be quite the money maker in another crisis. Dunno how well they were moving at those prices, but they sure had something in their head about the price. I saw a pair of lowers with consecutive serials the guy was asking 750 for the pair. Stooopid. At least prices now are dropping back to around 200 and under.

So your AR up there... 20" bull bbl? Free floated. A2 stock. What kind of parts you running?

Still a .223 or did you go .308?
The .308 would have to be an AR10. They're recognizable by longer receivers and a longer mag well.

Well the guy came through and bought everything.

No big deal. The weather is turning nice around here. I plan on heading up to the outdoor public range to gather brass. Hopefully it's not picked dry. Better take a couple guns to have a reason for the drive if brass is in short supply.

So I'm dream building my next lower. It's so easy to empty the wallet. Even looking at off-brand parts.

I'm looking at a Magpul knock off stock (still mil-spec), a trigger somewhere around 4#, Magpul ASAP sling plate, a good rubber pistol grip with the gapper and an ambi safety selector. Then will come the second upper build. Pretty sure I'll be running a dedicated .22 upper to stick on the poly lower that is built with a mil-spec LPK. Good for the kid to learn on. Plus when he and I go shooting he will have a rifle "just like daddy's."

I have about 170-180 9mm brass (with more to come) and probably 50-100 more 357 brass. What is the going rate for brass right now?

I paid $60 for 500+ rds of tumbled .40S&W brass and $30 for 100rds of deprimed, trimmed, deburred and tumbled .223 brass. Buying new brass at say Gander Mtn or something of the like, you're looking at somewhere around $40/100 for pistol brass. For the 9mm, I'd say you'd be good at $10-15/hundred. Idk what .357 brass is going for, but I'm sure it would be comparable. If it's free for you, hell it's all profit!

My buddy down in Texas got me a deal on a very clean 1943 Garand. With ffl fees its will be less then a one week paycheck :)
One of those is also on my bucket list. I wanna hear that clang when the bandolier goes empty.
