I saw the title of this tread and thought I was opening the one that was posted in the den.

l had simerlier problem on mine,(99,4.0)one time up at spring creek,turned out rear o2 sensor grounded out and blew a mini fuse,and caused a lot of chugging, but not constant.hope it helps
