Adjustable Track bar, TRE question

OK, searched around and found nothing- I just put OME 934s and JC1As under the jeep and am adjusting the track bar I got. I'm getting near the end of travel on the threads of the tie rod end, I think and am wondering how much of the threaded part of the TRE needs to be in the track bar. I am guessing at least 1/4" but was wondering what the rule really is..... TIA

Track bars are generally sold my lift height 0-2", 2-6", etc. Sure you got the correct size ?

minimum engagement is 1x the size of the thread.

The rule of thumb is that the minimum threads to be engaged should be the same as the diameter of the threads. So, if the threaded end is 3/4" there should be at least 3/4" of threads engaged.

Thanks guys- I purchased a 2-4" and it is looking about 3/4" short.....arrggghh. I've had a 2" BB on for a couple years. Looks like it's time to upgrade to an RE. Dang.
