ac problems w atc

i started working on my bosses 95 jeep grand cherokee 5.2l mpi, and im having trouble w the ac module. i checked the codes on the module and im getting 26, 27, 28, 52, 55, looked them up and they dont make much sense 2 me. but anyways everything works but the compressor won't kick on. so i jumped it and i get cold air. what is going on here? any help would be appreciated

jumped what,? low pressure switch? needing refrigerant? you might have better luck on the grand cherokee forum
