A few questions. I'd like to fix up my mosey tomorrow.

30 seconds on Google can do wonders...

That first pic you have I have those 2 already. With the wing nut on it. I can just take the cables off the battery nice and easy. Yeah when I go to the store I'll look out for those length cabled and gauge. Thank you.
2 longer 4 gauge cables. for starter to pos and ground to negative. then 2 smaller 6 gauge wires for fuse box and fender ground. easy :) :)

To properly crimp that kind of terminal you need a hydraulic crimper, really. I would suggest having a pro do it or buy premade cables - I don't have the equipment to do those either. I would, but crimpers that cost $500 and use $80 die sets are not something I include in my tool set just yet.

If you get premade ones, they will. If you get cable and connectors and assemble them, they won't. Check NAPA/autismzone's sites and see if they carry the premade cables - most of the time you can search for parts and then enter a zip and it'll tell you if your local store has it in stock or if they can order it.

You have a 97 right? Part number for the whole battery cable assembly is 5600 8836AC, let me know if you have a 98/99/other.

I have a 1998. NAPA came up with a list of battery cable stuff. Let me look up that part number.

Hm. none of those auto part sites can find "5600 8836AC".

Cable assembly for a 4.0L 98 with LHD is 5600 9783. See if you can find the cheapest price (I doubt you'll find anything reasonable, sadly) - the best I have found is $121. I'd say go to a junkyard way before paying that much, it'll cost you $20 though you won't get brand new of course.

yeah that's a MOPAR part number, it'll only pop up in dealerships, companies that carry OE replacements (great when you're looking for stuff like tranny cooler/power steering/brake hoses on Dorman's site), or MOPAR aftermarket sites really.

The Autocraft setup there looks pretty ok as long as you set it up right, I'm not sure how to link it to the alternator properly but I'm sure it's doable. Write down which wires went where before you pull anything off then install the new cables in the same way and you should be good to go - just make sure you have all the parts required before starting (I think those cables may require battery post to screw terminal adapters or something.)

Yeah I dont want to do what I did when I changed my rotor and plugs lmao. I will do each wire one at a time. I hope it will bolt right to the alternator. And to be honest I hope this fixes my issue altogether.

Thanks for your help.

Yeah trust me I didnt want OEM anyway. Then good i'll go to auto zone tomorrow and pick up what I need. If I am reading the site right It would cost approx 20 bucks. Just unplug the old and plug in the new :)

I hope this is the cause to my problem. Has to be. I hope lol.

but the money I spent on my FSM paid for itself within weeks.
Am I to understand you have an FSM for a '91? (I can never remember if yours is a '91 or '92)

You'll learn this one the hard way. It's better to have a reliable, well maintained rig on 31s, then a barely running, vibe ridden, wandering rig on 35s.
Stop making fun of me dude...

First off, you wonder why people are giving you sh1t on this board and you go and admit to being on prescription pain killers AND weed at the same time. That's the mark of someone is far from having their stuff together.

Secondly, you said you have a Chryco 8.25 rear axle, correct? If so, it is highly recommended that you run a synthetic gear oil in that diff. Trust me.

Thirdly, the Mopar Red axle RTV the the best diff cover sealer I have seen. I peeled back my stock 44 cover many times with out leaking. Hell, no diff I've ever used it on has leaked. Second best is the Permatex Grey RTV or Mopar Grey RTV.

Hey no need to be mean. I got my wisdom teeth out. And you dont know a thing about me first of all. I smoke weed and I am proud of it. It helps me through a lot. You dont know my life what so ever so how about you make the change and stop being a dick.

And thanks for the recommendations. I'll see what they have at the parts store tomorrow.

And posting garbage like that help's nobody. Someone can one day search and end up back at this thread for help. If you want to be a dick go to the hate thread. If you want to actually help me, dont post stupid shit like that in my threads.
