I'm pretty sure it was just a dick thing to do. Especially when I just wanted help. I know how to laugh and obvously laugh at typical internet memes. But I wish to be treated a bit nicer than that.
 
Ah he's a good kid, i think hes just fried a few brain cells. Seems to want to get into wheeling so we can try to push him in the right direction. Wheeling and wrenching is a good hobby keeps yur mind off stuff.
 
That's why I wanted to get the MJ. So I can wrench on it everyday and not worry about breaking it. Since my XJ is my daily driver. I went to voc for automotive and even worked at a dealer a few years ago. Since I dropped out of college twice (once was intentional the other wasnt) thing's have not been the same. I dont know what I am waiting for but I am trying my best to do better for myself. I will go to college. And I will go to college soon. Thanks Skreed :)
 
I am going to tell you this now like I told you when the lift when on... Before you spend money on oil, changing diffs or anything like that... BUY NEW LONGER UBOLTS!!!!!!!!!! I don't remember if you said you got them or not but those stock ones on three inches of lift can only take so much and if I remember correctly they were barely on there as it was. Do that (unless you want them snapping on you).
 
I know. That is another priority. I'm going to order them online soon. I am not going to off road for a while until I get everything I need. Those U bolts are priority as well.

And that's just half of our issue here, you ask very basic questions that have already been said before. Nobody will find this thread in a search because it's out there with 100 results before yours comes up. I am sorry but Matt is not being a dick but rather finally saying what we are mostly thinking. Also fine we don't know you but we don't care for talk of illegal things on our PUBLIC forum wheeling or weed.

Lastly the website here is www.NAXJA.org not www.Twitter.com we don't want 30 second thread updates from you where your reply simply "blarg" or "blah" or yet you wording the same question again after you didnt take our advice the first time. You have been here since July and have 709 posts as i write this, that's almost what i have in 2 1/2 yrs. You started this tech thread (in the nac section) a week ago and it's gone to 8 pgs when all your questions can be answered if you searched a little.

I dont think Matt was being a Dick and I am not trying to be one either we are simply telling you how we see your posts coming across to us. Ok enough of this lets talk about Jeeps now.

Matt wasnt being a dikk, as stated already he's just telling you what most of us are thinking. Your disregard for searching here or Google for relative info, the wheelin pics, and now the weed comment. Put the bong down, step back and read your own posts with an open mind.

The wheelin community has taken a big hit from some people, illegal wheelin, alcohol/drugs on the trail and the like is ammunition for the environmentalists to shut us out of areas at an alarming rate. I personally dont care what you do in the privacy of your own home (or dads in this case) but there is NO need for you to make it public on an internet forum.

Or you could post these questions over at www.pirate4x4.com in the Cherokee section... they are good guys who chomp at the bits to help out newbs.

Seriously, sit back with a clear mind and take the advice people here are giving you.
 
Your correct. I just embarrass myself. Im stupid, different and that's why I will never be a success or have friends. I'll only post for now on if it is dire. I'm sorry.
 
Against my better judgement, I'll post in this thread.

Do these three things, and you will be MUCH better off in the long run.

1) Quit smoking weed and cigs. Its too darn expensive. Not to mention unhealthy.

2) Forget about wheeling for a while. You can't afford it. Get your Jeep in good reliable condition and just DD it. No mods. No MJs. Just one basic car.

3) Get a steady reliable job, and work hard. Don't care what it is. Just get one. Even if its flipping burgers for min. wage. And get in some sort of school ... tech or college.

Then, once you get a degree, certification, or something ... get a better job. THEN, you can start thinking about building Jeeps and getting into wheeling again.

I know, you'll think this is dumb advice, and chances are you won't take any of it. But I'm right.

1. Cigs I want to desperately quit. But being I cant smoke for 3 days I may try and just quit. Marijuana I plan to slow down A LOT WITH IT. Because that is something I seriously need to do.

2. I have got into that mind set. I washed my jeep a week ago and it is going to stay that way. Maybe a nice trail ride through the forest but only dirt no water. I am in the process of fixing her up and making her better.

3. I get my P/T seasonal toys r us schedule this friday. In the mean time I will be looking for a F/T job. I will save money up and open a bank account.

Once my parents see I pulled my life back together they will send me to a community college. If I do good there they will support me and send me to a different college.

It's not dumb and I'm taking everyones advice very well. Trust me. I have the ball I just need to get it rolling. I been hurt, let down and mentally drained. I been to rehab (not for drugs, I dont do drugs) and that tore me in half. This was about 1 year ago. Thanks for the talk. I needed it.

It's Adam right? Learn to help yourself.. dont rely on feedback/assistance from others here. Read, learn and apply. You have your priorities skewed, lift/tires when the rig needs a ton of maintenance.

I think Jordan is correct above, give up the wheelin for awhile till you can afford the hobby. Get back in school, the job market right now is tough, espescially for a young buck with little to no experience.

Think twice or three times about what you post on the internet dude. Keep your private life private. Would you tell your Mom about your a burnt seed?.. dont tell us either.

I never said you should go to rehab for weed, but you said you don't do drugs... Weed is an illegal drug regardless of your attitude toward it. (you can go to jail for possession right?) and you admit to doing it so there you go.

Supportive parents are GREAT. Sometimes parents can be a little annoying, but havning a good relationship with them is crucial.

Show them you are on the right track, and let them help you through school. Thats a solid plan.

You'll be fine. Just think through stuff before you do it.
 
I never posess enough to go to jail only a slap on the wrist and a ticket. I more or less consider it an herb. Niccotine is a drug. Caffeine is a drug. Tylenol is a drug. I'm just saying. And yes I know it's a drug.

Thank you. They do support me a lot. They want me to do good in life. They care a lot about me. Off to try and make some money. Be back later. Will post pics of my new cables :)
 
So I got 1 new cable. It goes from my negative terminal to... well. Something on the side of the block. It was the only frayed up cable that was there. I checked the rest of the cables and they seemed to be fine. Currently draining the oil out of the engine. Advance auto checked my alternator (through the battery) and it saying my battery was no good. But He put the negative clamp on the crappy frayed cable. My alternator is fine. What I got to do is.

1. synthetic 90w80 in the 8.25 90w80 in the 30
2. rubber trim for front fenders
3. oil change
4. connect new cable


And grats overland on ROTM
