A Bald Mountain snow run! - Feb 6th

And by Official* run, I mean totally unofficial, and not even a run :bs:

I've crashed the naxja bald mtn run 2 out of the last 3 times, and had a lot of fun. I was planning on doing it again this year, but you slackers didn't plan one! So I am!

I booked a cabin for Friday feb 6th, and Saturday Feb 7th. We'll hit the trail Saturday Morning.

Anyone is welcome, just post up if you're coming. There are several rigs from BA4x4, and a few rigs from SLO going.

From what I know the Official Sierra Chapter Snow run will be about a month after yours. Still in the planning stage, but the date appears set.

34x10.5's dont work very well doing donuts on 8' wheels, 10lbs of air, in 10 degree weather.:confused1

Despite feeling like shit most of the weekend, I had a total blast.

Good times had by all! Good people, good cabin, PERFECT weather, excellent wheelin! It snowed on the early crew pretty hard on the way in. ALL of bald mountain was covered in at least 12 inches of powder, and it was a nice sunny day! PERFECT weather.

We all got there friday night. Cabin was pre warmed by the rental place. The early birds got some grub and grog at the local pub...

about midnight we decide it would be a good idea to go do some night wheelin and find the trailhead!

Mark found something... but it wasn't the trailhead.

Donkeyballs was excited about it

So was SBS

After 20 minutes of double winching....

Mark went from being 30 feet off the road.. to 100 feet off the road... :smokin:

Next day...

On top of the hill...

everybody stuck at the bottom of the hill.

Sara is laughing and pointing and wondering whats taking so long
