Guess you could call it bad choice of words. The "smoke" it's definatly white. It dissipates quickly so it would be stream technically. Cylinder walks looked perfect so I think i'm good on oil blow by, and it's got a "new" JY head that's been checked out and milled so I dont see why oil past the guides would be an issue.
Eight years ago, I put new lifters in my '92, which at the time had about 130k miles on it, because of a few stuck lifters. I didn't change the cam, and to this day, with 203k on the clock, it still runs fine.
