Don't want anything back (and already tossed the console long ago as I couldn't find a single buyer at any price with its condition accurately stated in the ad :twak, and finding out you're shady for 20 bucks wasn't the most painful mistake I've ever made to be sure. I just feel that potential buyers should realize they should go over stuff with a fine tooth comb before buying it from you. Who the hell buys a 97+ console to put in a jeep if it's not for looks? Either its going in a 96- which is mostly a cosmetic swap or its going in a 97+ which is an entirely cosmetic repair.

I'm generally a pretty nice guy, I am pretty sure this is the first time I've ever posted publically concerning a sour deal. I just don't want to see others get burned here.

FYI potential buyers, this guy is shady.

He owes someone from our club money and refuses to pay.

He also has another members transfer case and has not made any effort to return it to him.

yes everyone.. i owe someone $20 for a tire that didnt hold air...
as for the t case, everyone else aside from the person has had something to say.. like i stole it... no.. someone from your club STOLE it.. then he brought it to my house.. tell him and the other person to come on up and ill gladly give them the money... I never REFUSED to pay.. this issue has nothing to do with you so you should mind your own business and keep the BS out of my thread.. thanks

well you never pm'd me or messaged me about this console issue until now?? now that others are posting in my thread with BS and your jumping on the band wagon!! the console had a few small spots at the very bottom. you dont put one of those consoles in a pre 97 jeep for the awesome looks.. i thought alot of people do it cause they have cup holders..?? it wasnt melted bad or anything.. it prolly got more messed up sitting in the back of your pickup with the rest of the junk that was back there.. if there was a concern or issue about the console you could have said something and i would have got it back from you.. if the thing was going into a wheeling rig then a couple minor spots that are hardly noticed shouldnt have been a big deal.. please stop BS in my threads thanks

Going in a wheeling rig or not, who are you to say what is good for someone else's rig? Truth be told, I drive my Jeep on the street more than I go wheeling. The fact was you said you had a console in good condition, which is why I had Ken go through the trouble of picking it up for me. Regardless of what you thought was good enough for everyone else, you falsely advertised the goods you were selling.

Couple spots? You clearly welded over the thing, there was spatter burns all over it. My cut up console with the holes in it would have looked more presentable.

I'm sorry you thought wrong when people put them in their rig for the cup holders, but yes, people do put them in their Jeep for their looks. My current console was cut up for when I put my OX levers into it a few years back, when I didn't care much about the console. I was thinking about remounting the levers, and I decided I had enough of my interior looking like ass. So I put a carpet back in, and I started looking for a nice console in good condition to replace the current one I had.

So yes, I fully intended to put the console into my Jeep for the looks. I'm sorry your narrow view on things couldn't comprehend this.

And the way you're acting right now is exactly the reason why we didn't contact you. We knew the type of person we were dealing with after that transaction, and you're only reinforcing our perceptions.

This is 100% accurate. Ken is a stand up guy who goes out of his way to not only deliver people parts (way out of his way I might add), but helps other people fix their Jeeps if they need it.
On top of that, there is no way that the console could have gone into his truck in perfect condition, then come out of the back of his truck looking like that.

you dont even know me pal.. cause of how i am acting? all i stated was if you thought it was shitty then contact me after the transaction and we could have resolved it.. it wasnt dark or night time when i sold it to him. it was very sunny out so its not like he didnt see the thing. im not saying he isnt a stand up guy.. or you for that fact.. but for bashing my thread about it now, months later instead of contacting me after the transaction and saying that you wanted something a little nicer looking.. then we could have resolved it.. waiting months and bashing my parts thread about it is pretty immature to me.. you dont even know me so dont comment on how you knew how i would be thats why you didnt contact me in a mature manor.... as for ken.. please contact me via pm so we can resolve this like adults.. thanks

did you even read my last post? I said that I didn't notice till it was too late, not that I didn't get a good look at it. Therefore you "got away" with it, I figured since you listed it in good condition I didn't need to look at it all that closely. I was wrong, and like I said, I took the hit on it - I told Mark that I thought it looked like shit and wouldn't hold him to the deal if he agreed, since I should have seen it when I picked it up but had taken "good condition" at face value.

I guess it's just honest people who list the actual condition compared to original condition, not what their opinion of it is. If I'd listed that console it would have said "this console has a bunch of spatter all over it, five bucks or if I know you it's free" or something like that, not "good condition".

As far as I'm concerned, you falsely advertised it, I got burned because I trusted you on its condition and didn't pass the blame, cash sales on the classifieds are final/as-is/no returns as far as I knew.

I'm done with this BS. As far as I can tell, others are accusing you of stealing something because you never paid the person the agreed upon sum, just because they didn't harass you constantly till you paid up doesn't mean you don't owe them money. The fact that apparently it was "stolen from a jeep in the woods" by said person is irrelevant except that it means you're knowingly holding stolen goods, a felony. I'm not even going to get into the reasons I think a jeep would be left in the woods, either. You and everyone involved sound real shady and I figured my experience was relevant.

ok, first of you could have acted like a mature adult. contacted me via pm or phone call since you had my number. told me that you or your friend wanted a console in nicer condition than the one i sold you and could have returned it to me and would have given you your $20 back. there was not splatter all over the console. it had like 3 or so spots on it. dont just assume im an asshole and wouldnt give you the money back for something you didnt like or want.
