904 or 999?

I though I had the 999, but now I'm not sure. I have an '85 Wagoneer 2.5L, NP229, 4.10s. How to tell if it's the 999 or 904?

At www.jeeptech.com they have a lot of information about the transmissions Jeeps used over the years. Look for where it says "transmissions and engines pages"

Thanks man. That's weird, the 904 and 999 are very similar. The 999 was also used, it's classified as a medium duty 3 speed opposed to a light duty as the 904 and 909 are.
