I'll be sure to do that! But in the mean time I used this as a reason to buy an aftermarket gauge. Found an auto meter electric gauge for 35 bucks so I jumped on it! Thanks for the advice tho much appreciated

Welded up my new flowmaster hoping to get her smogged next couple days!

Also just ordered a steering box brace from IRO can't wait to get that welded on. Need to locate tires n a rear end
 
Might have an 8.8 available next week

Installed my track bar I got from jon she rides alot better need to lift her tho!!

Got all my paper work taken care of and reg paid up so now smog tomorrow hopefully she passes!! I ran some seafoam threw her seems a lil more responsive fingers crossed!!

Consider running some acetone in the tank too.

Make sure the cat has correct numbers on it. The test station will look it up on the web, and it has to be right..... double check. I had issues with mine
 
Sorry to rehash... You said the Walker manual said it was an 89 cat. But was it an 89 California cat? I know that Rockauto is pretty specific about what is and what isn't cal legal cat's, and the smog stations look pretty closely to make sure too, like Twinhauler said. Hopefully you got the right one and it'll pass with ease. Good luck
