87 2.5L TBI sensor spec's

If ya could would someone let me know how to test the o2,TPS,coolent temp sensor and the manifold air temp sensor's I have a haynes manual but they seem to have left the 87 tbi out of it.
also I would like to upgrade the performance a lot but am limited on$ so it would be a week to week thing what should I start with??
2.5L TBI 4 speed tranny all computer controlled ingnition I believe even down to timing retarding/advance
