42 lb fuel injector (old Style) on 2000 xj will work?

thats it...the earlier type of fuel injector will work on my jeep wich one have a bosch new fuel injectors....i know the rail and the manifold hole are the same...i know also i have to change the pins but i dont know if the impedance or something like that are the same..

the fuel injector are venom and i will try to use this with AEM f/ic...

The injectors you want to use are high impedance: 12-16ohms. You will either have to get ev6->ev1 harness adapters or cut the connectors off a <98 jeep(or whatever donor vehicle you have access to that has ev1 connectors). You will want a new fuel pump if you plan to squirt those 42#ers so look into a Walbro 255lph pump.
 
Yeah the best way to check is to just measure the resistance of those injectors. If they are low impedence injectors, you won't be able to use them. I do have to mention though, that Venom injectors are horrible! Every vehicle that I've seen run with them run like crap.

I have to disagree with Gradon though on the fuel pump. My 99 runs 40lb'ers just fine with the factory fuel system. Although every rig is different. I reccomend keeping the factory pump until it starts going lean no matter how much fuel you add in the map. Walbo's 255 is an awesome pump its just so F'in loud.
