SoCal Chapter Annual Event - Big Bear April 22 - 24, 2005.
Big Bear is located in the San Bernardino Mountains.
This is an official
event.
Required Equipment:
Solid recovery points front and rear (tow hooks, shackles/d-rings, receivers), first aid kit, fire extinguisher, snatch strap (no chains, no strap with metal hooks), spare tire and all necessary hardware.
Meeting Place:
Friday - 2N04 Trail Maintenance: 9.00 am at Big Bear Ranger Station. Hwy. 38 just East of the Discovery Center. Map
Saturday & Sunday - All Trail Runs: 9.00 am at Big Bear Discovery Center. Highway 38 just West of Stanfield Cutoff. Map
Camping/Lodging:
Camping: Serrano Campgrounds.
Lodging: There is plenty of lodging in Big Bear City and Big Bear lake for those who prefer not to camp.
Planned trails, Saturday:
Holcomb Creek, John Bull, Pontiac Sluice, possible others. Status pending scouting run on the weekend of April 10 as well as actual turnout at event.

Primary, 4; alternate, 14
Trail Leaders:
Will be set at event, if you would like to volunteer please contact GSequoia.
Notes:
Be prepared for cold weather, there may still be snow on the ground in some areas.
Be reminded that the safety equipment is mandatory, please do not come to the event without the proper equipment as we'd hate to turn you away.
Meals:
Saturday Dinner. Captian Ron's famous Tri Tip! Dinner is $7 per head. You're on your own for Friday night.
Raffle: $2.00 raffle for good prizes! Saturday night. Drawing will be after dinner - winner need not be present. Tickets will be on sale from the week preceeding the vent until just before the drawing.
