37s

think of it this way alot of wranglers had a bigger turd a lp30 and that didnt stop those guys from reaching for the stars and im sure somones gonna say well those are smaller rigs true but they have the same drivetrain so the weight on front end is close enough
i went to a hp44 front and a waggy 44 rear because i had them or else i wouldve just polished what i had

Have you actually *wheeled* with those guys?

Yeah, they hit trails with 37's on an lp30. A lot of times they don't hit the other end.

Cracker, I heard you say just the other day that you wouldn't wheel with anything less than 44s with 33s, 60s for 35s. I'm fairly certain you even said 37s would rip an XJ clean in two.

im not saying its a good idea im just saying its done everyday and axles are the most debated part of a 4x4 fact is ford and chevy guys think 35s are small tires and 44s are the norm are you gonna break stuff yes you will
but how you drive has more to do with breaking than anthing else

Punctuate, please. Also, when you say 44s are the norm, are you talking about tires or axles?

well since i was talking about tires i would guess 44 inch tires that better
and since most fords came with dana 44s and chevys came with weaker versions of the same thing you could have the baddest axles on the planet and still break if you like riding the skinny pedal

You may live in a world where 44's are the norm, but out here we actually wheel our junk, and damned hard.

35's are pretty normal, not abnormal to see 37's with a 44/60 or 44/9 setup, 40's are becoming regular on buggy's and a few idiots have 42's, but that is still just someone retarded trying to compensate for something..

Again, I am retarded.

I don't know why people have this fascination for bolt on the largest tire they can find. Jeep put a lot of work into designing the Cherokee for 215s, taking it outside it's designed parts is just asking for trouble.

I bought 37" stickies so people would think Im stupid. But at least Im smart enough to run them on 1tons ;)

Don't let the kittens scratch their claws on those.

42" tires are about max one can run on a Dana 44. You'll need to upgrade to alloys to run the 44s.

But a dana 30 with alloys is cool for 42's right?

No. A dana 30 Caps out at 38s with alloys. Add CTMS and you can do 40s.

lets not forget:

Glad I could help.

haha i just snagged a D60 for my truck for 37's would love to see a D30LP run a set of 37s on a trail. i understand around town you would be just fine heck may as well pull the front driveshaft for all the good that axle will do with the 37s.
