33 x 10.5 x 15

33 X 10.50s is a good choice for late model XJs since they can tuck into the fenders, when used with the right wheels (15 X 8,w/ 4" BS).
I have raised stock flairs, sheet metal trimmed underneath, on 4"s of lift . With 10" shocks, it get 5"s up and 5' down. without hitting or rubbing. It pays to get the bumpstops set correctly - love the front Prothanes.

Not sure why BFGs are not acceptable. I have run two sets of BFG KO with success and good mileage. I like the snow rating for winter use.
Friends that run the KM2s are very happy with them.
Not too many other choices in 33 X 10.50s.

Are you running 10" short bodies? Bar pin eliminators? Upper stud mount conversion? I ask cause I have a 4" lift and with both bpe and stud conversion I could barely fit the 8" 5150's

I'm running 10" Bilstein 5150s w/upper stud conversion and a lowered bottom mount.

Just curious why you are not considering moving up to a 16 inch rim since you suggest you will get new rims anyway. You can get a little narrower in the metric sizes. (Okay, go ahead tell me I'm wrong, everybody.)

You can also get a 235/85x16, but those pretty much only come in load range E (at least every one I have seen is). This is the stock size for dually trucks so one advantage to that size is that if you are in BFE and need a spare, you will be able to find one.

are those stock, untrimmed fenders? ive been wanting a set of 33x10.5s for my 3" lifted MJ and was thinking i'd be trimming for sure. im on stock wheels

Here are some pics 33x10.5 on stock wheels, stock flares. Total lift probably at 4.5" +/- (2nd and last show em stuffed)

Mine are due for replacement and I am tempted to go bigger. But I think I'll avoid the weight and added width. (I'd buy a 35x10.50 if it was available)

I'll probably get rims with less backspace for wider stance and more interior clearance (maybe 4" b.s. will still stuff)

I've ordered 15x8 w/5.25" BS (same as factory) and will test fit before mounting tires.
I have 1" spacer on rear to match up the track with the space caused by the Warn hubs on the front. My math told me this would give me 4.25" BS and hopefully clear the rear discs (aftermarket on the 8.25) while allowing the (future) 33x10.5 to stuff.
All the other wheels I found were 3.75" BS and I thought they'd stick out too far to stuff at all. ??

Make sense? If someone has the exact fitment needed I'd love to hear it. I have done no trimming and still have the stock flares. I'm not opposed to trimming but want to wear out the 31x10.5 Cooper STT before I move up to 33 an trim.

I run 255/85/r16 Km2's with great success. (Its the 16 inch rim equiv of a 33x10.5)

They grip great, and roll really trouble free. They tuck perfect with my 3.5 inch lift, bumpstops, and napier flares.

Why didn't you like the MT/R's?

I love my MT/R's. I don't like the BFG's. sidewalls are soft and cut easy. The lugs get chunks tore out easily, and I lost a bead way too many times with them. The MT/R's are a way tougher tire. I just wish they made a 33x10.5 MT/R, sibce they don't my next will be a red label Grabber 33x10.5

What size & backspacing on your wheels?

not quite 33 but big for a 32... TSL radial, 32x10.5, i run them on my jeep.
so far they have been a great aggressive but road worthy tire
