3 link vs Radius arm build

If I were to build one of these setups id build it with a cross member and run hiems on it, It would have to hook up to the factory dana 30 points I want to do a uprgrade on the axle but not now.

From a cost stand point and ease of building stand point radius arms seem cheaper but unload.
3 Link more in materials harder to build but better performance.
Keep in mind I want to stay at 3.5 ish
Idears?

3 arms and 6 hiems XD more DOM for the arms. Not that big of a deal

Btw..you at least wanna beef up the uca on the d30. For a 3 link there is absolutely no way the passenger side mount will hold, I wouldn't even trust it in a radius setup. I'm using the driver side mount and adding a currie insert.

A radius arm will be such a disappointment compared to a well built 3 link

Id never use it its junk. I was going to get a link bracket from Ruffstuff or ballistic fab

Or just use driver side ;)
Btw..this is XJ88 from cf lol

3 link won't be much more at all..if any. I'd consider a rubber bushing on one end of the lowers so you have something to absorb some of the vibes

I dont have the room at 3 inches if I did I would. Also I may be doing a HP or LP dana 44 swap so it will be a pain to weld to the cast housing.

Rubber bushings = wheel hop.

My vote goes towards a 3 link, i love mine

No need for bushings on a 3 link, theres no bind to worry about.

If you're planning on keeping it a simple, basic setup a radius setup would be fine. Dont get me wrong, 3 links are badass and the way to go and Id never want something else. But given your jeep and since its smaller and more entry level, you'll be happy enough with radius arms. Packaging with a 3 link will be tough at the low hieght without going thru the floor or doing a short/mid arm setup.

Shes my little zips  Im trying to make it a capable but small rig. But Im worried by the unloading and bad angles of this setup?

How about some decent short arms and actually wheel it? Is there a need for a suspension upgrade, or is this just something to talk about? IMO you'd be better off buying a decent set of tires and some lockers before you worried about this.

You were saying the other day that you weren't keeping the Jeep, so if you decide to do something, make sure it can be easily swapped into whatever else you may buy.

Im probably keeping it for a few months, fixed my deathwobble and heat.
It was spurred on by a discussion on another board and got me wondering.
I have some ehhh short arms. Im going to be doing a bit of attacking the shock mounts for more droop. I was thinking of building some but I dont like my angles.
As far as actually wheeling I do. Just I dont have good rear axle so I wont wheel for now. But the 8.25 is almost done so I can wheel without worrying over how ill get it out with a blown dana 35.

Id stick to the factory setup if your staying at 3.5"

just get, or better yet make some adjustable lowers. it will be way cheaper, and easier to do. and then if you do sell it its easy to swap and if you do radius arms you can re-use your custom lowers as the top links on your radius arms.

Seen quite a few duderz on rubber bushings with no issues

Rubber bushings flex and deflect, heims are 100% solid. Id never build a link suspension with bushings, but thats just me.

You build yours with bushings, and ill build mine with heims. Okay? Ok :)

Can i change my vote? I agree with this guy ^

Quite a few routes you can go.

It sounds like you should get out and wheel first, see what works, see what you like, watch some other rigs in action, and find out where you want to improve your rig first.
