242 D30 w/ a 231 tcase?

Ok, I put a 5 spd in my XJ that formerly had a 242 tcase and the auto tranny. The spools won't line up with the five spd so I swapped in a 231 tcase, I shouldn't run into anything since my front axle is a non-disco should I?

Noproblem. The factory stopped using the disconnect with the 231 in 1991 anyway. One less thing to go wrong.

you already did the swap? did you have to switch the input shafts? what other problems did you run into?

nevermind...i thought you just swapped t-cases...but you swapped the transmission also. my bad.

Thanks, I figured it'd be ok but I wanted to make sure before I got everything bolted up. Yeah, just like you said one less thing to go wrong.
