My label says 241j on the tcase label, is this just another number for a 242?? just curious, I have installed a chain and sye for a 242 without issue

TJ (and later LJ) Rubicons had the 4.0:1 NP241OR t-case, you are correct.x99j said:not all 241's are 4:1. the liberties (05-07) with the 6 speed manual (nsg370) had the np241j (regular low range), it is a heavier command trac case, used in dodge trucks. the rubicons had the nv241or (i believe).
