Trail runs will be scheduled for each day, Monday through Sunday, and there will be sign ups for runs at the event. We will have a get aquainted dinner Tuesday evening at Slickrock campground, with a very reasonable price for the meal. Thursday evening will be a show and shine, with judging and awards in a number of different categories. This will also be a fun time to check out all of the rigs and cool modifications, make new friends, and talk shop for the evening. We are also working on a vendor display for Thursday. Friday evening will be the dinner, where the awards will be presented, and we'll have a multimedia presentation of the weeks activites. The winning ticket for the Sweepstakes XJ will be drawn, and there will also be a merchandise drawing. Tickets for the dinner will be sold in advance and at the door, but we need as many advance ticket sales as possible so we know how many to cook for.

There will be a registration form available soon. There is no charge for this event, but we will have to collect a small BLM fee for the runs, which will be done at the event. The registration form will include an order form for event t-shirts and Friday night dinners. We may have other merchandise available, also. Here is a link to information about buying tickets for the Sweepstakes XJ:

Please post any questions you have here on this forum, and we will make sure you get the information you need. We still need volunteers for some of the activities, so if you'd like to help out, let me know.

See you in Moab,

How many people to we expect for this event?

More than 10......................
OK, we're estimating that we'll have about 100 rigs show up over the course of the week, but this could be conservative. This will be an event that you won't want to miss, hope to see you there.

There were more than 50 rigs last year at the annual Fall Fling. So far, I've seen much more interest in this event than for last years Moab event, so who knows?

We're going to do these anniversary events every five years, so this is the big one. It will definitely be the biggest XJ/MJ event that has ever been. All of the magazines have expressed interest in the event, so hopefully we'll get some decent coverage. Who knows who might get a magazine shot. :)

what about venders, who do have verified as of now, I'm trying to get sponsership for my rig and will be showing it at the show, XJ with coil conversion and 15" of lift that will take 44's under it for show, and 42's for running.

We won't be posting that info, you'll have to show up to see them. As far as looking for sponsorships, you're on your own there.

whats up with Fridays Dinner location?

I just spent an hour looking for information about the location of the Dinner on Friday night because I remembered reading once on one thread someone mentioned we would be at another location due to the size of the group we will have. I know that last year we just barely squeezed in at that group location in Slickrock CG. After I poured over all of the official information pages and all of the posts on them to no avail I finally found the suspected post on a thread near the bottom of the event forum.
so will we be at the Senior Center or another location and will people arriving at that time need to go there to register or wait untill after the festivities? I'll be in town before then but it would be nice for those coming into town at that time not to be confused. Sorry for ranting a little bit, Thanks again for all the effort going into this event.
:)

Yes, we will be at the Senior/Civic Center for our dinner Friday night. We'll get a little more info out on that, as well as the starting time. Someone will be at the registration table at Slickrock up until the time that the dinner starts, so folks coming in to town can get the info, as long as they stop by Slickrock first. For those coming in later on Friday, we'll make an announcement about what to expect, or they'll need to inquire about what to do.

We'll also post the location and directions.

when is this page going to be updated?

We just passed the deadline for shirt orders, and many registrations have been received. These are being tallied for our shirt order, and to help with ordering food. The page will be updated with the registrations that have been received as soon as possible.

For those wondering about their checks not being cashed, the checks that have been received are being forwarded to the NAXJA treasurer for deposit at this time. None have been deposited so far. All the effort involved in this stacks up at the end, so bear with us.
