Also the give-a-way committee is going to be looking to solict donations for the build from sponsors and possibly chapters. We are also going to be looking for help in building it and locating a donor vehicle.

srsly, it would be in the club's interest to not give away a modified vehicle. What with the liability and history.

that said, I'll be in the drawing, and the UHaul is [planning on making the cross country trip with one in the box and one on a trailer.

Te original one, also before my time, punch a rod through the block like 60 miles into the drive home.

The one Redheep won lost the right rear wheel at 60 MPH on I70 in Gypsum CO and tried to kill him and my sister in law. He wa in the rearview mirror one minute and not th next :dunno:

Crunch from CO won the first one, and did wheel it pretty hard before heading for home with it. It was more than a little surprising that the engine let go on the highway, rather than out wheeling.

I don't disagree for a second that does not have a good track record when it comes to giving away XJs, though.
