Hey Guys,

This years Sierra Trek will again be held at Meadow Lake.:party::party::party::party:
The main event runs from Aug. 12-14. I again will most likely be one of the first up there and might might be one of the last to leave again. I'll be heading up on Aug. 6th and heading back home on Aug. 14th. Last year I only saw at most 5 XJ's which was pretty depressing. Can I please get some more support. I won't actualy be wheeling in my rig, due to stock axles again this year but I will be on the trail. If theres anybody that rides bring your bikes up. I'll have my 2000 Yz250 and I'll be hitting up all the trails as well as Winch Hill 5. (OhYa crawiling on Two wheels)

Camping is free for the weekend of the event. Normally there is a anything from 100 to 300 rigs and around 350 to 450 people there. It can get pretty crazy espically considering that to the nearest city it takes about 45min. to an hour to get there . oh and ya there is a fully stocked bar out in the woods, but bring your black books. As well as all the big dealer up there with all kinds of stuff cheaper than cheap.

Hit me up if you plan on going. If you need any more info hit me up, the guys in my club have been running this since it started around 30 to 40 years ago, they have all the details.

What do you mean "camping is free"? Are you crashing the event? I believe this is an organized event and fundraiser for Cal4Wheel.

they have a 71" vehicle length maximum requirement? i need to go measure my XJ

i think you mean width... our wheelbase is way over that. I doubt your width is hitting the 70's, your jeep could do sierra trek for sure.

Camping is only free for the weekend of the event. Due to the over population of the area in this one weekend, PG&E is unable to collect all fees. Therefor not collecting any. But the rest of the year they do collect fees. Also another difficult factor in collecting fees is that the Meadow Lake meadows are bisected and divided very weirdly between Private, PG&E and Forrest Service Lands. So if you move you stuff ten feet one way you will be on Private Land or twenty feet the other way then you on Forest Service Land and I've spoken with that owner and he says that aas long as nothing gets destroyed or tourin up he will keep it all open and free.

Last year I had a white XJ about mid 90's model year. He had 33" and lockers and he only got pulled out once. So I don't think that the 71" means the length bt rather the witdh.

yep i must ride the small bus to school its 71" wide. wow. im special.
