a turbo? how bout a Heffner TT kit, Heffners 2 Gen TTkits can pump out close to 1000 stree legal ponies, i cant imagine what the numbers will be like once they get ahold of on of thesemotorcityxj said:they are still sand baggin it, its 8.4 liter naturally asperated, it can make more than that, they been sandbagging since it came out and just loitering around on cubic inches when the old ones had 400 hp in 1992 ish.
Still sweet and still would be impossible for me not to go through tires like they are disposable napkins. Definately on my short list of cars i want to own some day.
Mine will have a turbo though for good measure

the quote i put was with pump gas and at the rear wheels, the are a few that are puttin out 2000+hp on race gas, o yeah about them supras, there runnin a rediculous about of boost to reach high horse power numbers, all there good for is dyno runsAZ XJ said:In all reality, 2 turbo's on an 8.4 liter 10 cyl motor should make signifigantly more than 1000hp. I understand that those numbers are probably given with a streetable tune, but naturally aspirated the viper should make at least 750 hp. Take for example the Supra, with an I6 and a large single turbo, these motors are capable of making those numbers with relative ease. I've always felt that Dodge was sandbagging with the Viper, and It's my belief that they have only upped the power because of the numbers the C6 vette's and Cobra Mustangs are putting down. I mean, neither one of those cars have the shock value of a Viper, but I'd be pretty shocked driving my new Viper when I got waxed at a red light by a guy in a vette that he paid $40k less for...

www.heffnersperformance.com there the ones that did the GT, they also got a TT Lambo, and not to mention the worlds fastest Viper that runs 7sec in the 1/4LilRhodyXJ said:-By the way go to youtube and type in GT TT its the new Ford Gt with the stock SC removed and a custom twin turbo set up. I'd rather have that!!
LilRhodyXJ said:With VVT that thing must be fun to drive, I wonder what red line is with it. My buddy had a stock civic with V-Tec and it was fun to drive because you could just bury the tach all day and the thing would love it. Christ those s2000 with i-V-Tec are N/A 2.0L that tach at 9000, thats like rotary engine status! This years Viper deffinitly looks good though. Last model got a little weird and I thought they were going the futureistic way, glad they stayed around the same.

X2! Couldn't agree with you more. One Arm Steve said:Pretty unfair race, over a 1,000 HP against 175 RWH? I think the bike did great, add another 900 HP to the bike and then the Supra can brag all they want. If they win that is. I'll take me some American muscle over a jap ride any day. I would like to see all those ricers without the turbos. Not much to talk about then.

Power is power, I don't care much what it's in or how it gets it, it all has it's place.

AZ XJ said:VERY fair race. Your not accounting for power to weight ratio. 175 hp in a 400 pound bike is equivilent to a 1000hp 3500 pound car. Adding 900 hp to the bike would mean the Viper would have to have something like 10,000hp to be equal...
And im with you in taking domestic over jap anyday (front drive is wrong drive), but again.. it comes down to hp per liter/cubic inch. Making 200 hp from a 1.6 liter motor is just as impressive as 350 hp from a 5.7 liter.
