So my mother's Chevy didn't start yesterday after driving it around all day...just didn't start. So I tested the battery connections with a multimeter and go no readings at all. We went and bought a new battery to start there and see if that's the issue...I take off the cables from the terminals, lo and behold I test it again, sticking the probes into the terminals and get a reading, what the...I put the positive cable back on, leave the negative off, still get a reading, put the negative + positive back on and no reading... could it be that the negative cable has gone dead?
