2 week d44 build. help.

In the rush to get waggy 44's under my jeep before the ever so soon rocktober fest at rc, i ran in a few problems... first some eye candy.
first the axle

now i need to mount the driverside uca mount. can i weld to the top of the differential? is it cast steel or cast iron? next if i truss it its gonna be way talller then the one on the pass side... is that a bad thing? then track bar mounts, where is one of them puppies gonna slither its self in? it has to be tall so i dont have wicket bump steer since i went hi steer. and as long as possible as well?
i did some searching and didn't find just what i was looking for. any help would be mucho appriciated.
oh. here is the pass uca mount. not very tall...

What are you running for a suspension setup? The previous owner ran a 3-link, I can tell you that.

Welding a suspension mount straight to the cast iron pumpkin is asking for trouble. you could do it, but make sure you truss it and tie it into the tubes.

No I just put that link mnt on I did all from a bare axle I'm running a rusty's long arm

My HP44 had the drivers side UCA mount welded straight to the cast but Clayton did it, not me.

I have no idea the technique he used but it held up to my TNT kit. It looked like he just heated the crap out of it and started building up the weld slowly towards the mount. It was a giant puddle of weld on eitherside of the mount.

as for the drivers side UCA mount, you'll just have to get creative with some structural pieces of material and a welder.

I'm still debating whether I want to go with a waggy 44 front, or do an HP44 and narrow it.

Are you keeping a running total? I'd be real interested in seeing some real $$ numbers

Its gonna be my first one me and a few buddies of mine should be up front axle is done just have to regear and put spring pertches on the back. My running total I think is around 2500 give or take I have every receipt ill ad it up when I'm done
