1999 Cherokee track bar ?s

I have a 1999 Cherokee with a Rubicon Express 3.5" lift on it. I am having a death wobble issue, and have narrowed it down to the track bar. My question is should I go with an adjustable track bar, or should I just go with a stock one?

Go Adjustable with a Double sheer mount on the frame side. Unless you dont wheel much then the tierod end setup is prob fine.

Just seems to last longer and will allow way more droop then the stock tie-rod end setup.

Well, It mostly is a street rig, but I dont want to have any problems when I do take it wheeling. Since I am still new to this, which brand should I go with? Could you possibly post up a link to one that you would suggest?

I've made a fair amount of noise in the past about the virtues of stock type tie rod ends vs double shear track bars. Due the the apparent lack of availability of good TREs, though - I'd go with a double shear bar, preferably with a cartridge joint instead of a heim if it is your DD.

At 3.5" of lift you should have something other than a stock track bar. Most you will find are adjustable.

RE and Rough Country are acceptable, but there are better/stronger options available.

I prefer a double shear adjustable track bar with a poly bushing, and a heavy duty frame bracket. I recommend Iron Rock Off-Road. The IRO double shear track bar will outlast anything from RE or RC.

Are you having full on death wobble, or shimmy that seems could go into death wobble?

I've run both the RE1600 and RE1660HD both in double sheer. Zero issues. The IRO setup will be cheaper, unless you find a good deal used.

Get the RE1660 bar and RE1665 bracket. Also make sure the hole in the axle end isn't wallowed out from a loose bolt. You may need to fix that by welding a washer or moving the hole.

Well, if he gets a new RE1660HD, then will have to drill the hole to 1/2" Anyways.
